Predominantly sandy
100% Sangiovese
Hand-harvested with selection of grapes. The first of two harvests was done in the “I Piani” vineyard to preserve acidity, the second one week later for phenolic ripening at the “Sotto le Querce” and “Cipriano” vineyards.
Directly harvested and pressed softly, with a short maceration of about 2-4 hours with half of the must. Fermented in concrete tanks.

Pleasingly peach-salmon in color with barely-there opacity thanks to light filtration. Initial aromas of juicy nectarine and ripe white peach mingle with orange blossom and jasmine notes. Secondary aromas arrive with a slight bitterness, evoking the expression of an orange peel over a bitter aperitivo. Sweet pink grapefruit and fresh tomato leaf add to the complexity of the bouquet. On the palate, lean, refreshing acidity delivers flavours of lemon and lemon pith with crisp minerality and mouthwatering salinity. Lean and clean on the palate, but with a persistent, citrusy finish. Perfect for a hot, relaxed afternoon in the Tuscan hills (ideally by the pool), but with enough characteristic sangiovese structure to accompany a range of dishes from aperitivo to roast chicken, rabbit, or salmon.
Very versatile wine for pairing with food, given its fuller body and more structured texture than a typical French-style rosé. Our low-intervention vinification combined with the expressive and lively Sangiovese of our terroir create a rosato that can be served chilled on its own just as well as at cellar temperature alongside a meal.
